This line is humorous to me because Satan’s sole intentions were to go against God’s will. And yet, it seems that he fully acknowledges that God sets him up to seek the demise of man. He so haughty sets forth to go against God’s will and yet, in the end, he blames that it is God’s fault that he seduces the two into hell.
